The work depicts a female figure holding a child close to her in a gesture of absolute protection, evoking universal themes such as motherhood, responsibility, and the quiet strength that arises from love and duty.

The circular composition concentrates attention on the intimate relationship between mother and child, isolating them within a suspended, timeless space. The marquetry is executed through a refined combination of precious wood species, carefully selected for their chromatic and material qualities.
